Candle Care – Get the Most from Every Burn
A little candle etiquette goes a long way toward a beautiful, long-lasting burn.
Trim your wick. Before each lighting, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (6 mm). This helps maintain a steady flame and minimizes soot.
Let it melt evenly. On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunneling and wasted wax.
Don't burn too long. Limit each burn to a maximum of 4 hours. Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
Keep it out of drafts. Air currents can cause flickering, uneven burning, and excess soot.
Know when to stop. Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container.
 
Important Candle Safety
WARNING: Burn within sight. Keep away from things that catch fire. Keep away from children and pets. Burn only on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from drafts, curtains, and other flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris. Never move or touch a candle while lit or while the wax is hot. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop use when ½ inch of wax remains. Allow to cool completely before handling or relighting.
